The SCOM-0800 and SCOM-0801 are designed as general-purpose CompactPCI (cPCI) serial communication cards with standard RS-232 and RS-485 ports. Protocol is jumper selectable per channel. The I/O and power signals are distributed through J2 rear connector. The board form factor, physical dimensions and BUS interface comply with CompactPCI (cPCI)
The SCOM 6U card set for 6U CompactPCI provides a unique solution for industrial grade, rear accessible serial communication. Each channel is jumper configurable for RS-232/485 and ready for immediate connection to field devices.
The main board hosts 8 channels of serial communication, and provides front panel LED communication for Tx and Rx. All electrical signals are fed through the backplane J5 connector to transition cards or customer distribution boards.
The optional rear transition module provides RJ45 connection for each channel. All cards utilize the latest quick latching handles for CompactPCI.
